This is a hidden treasure. The service was great. The staff was very attentive. They answered our questions and made suggestions. The menu is huge. There is something in the menu for everyone - food and drinks. The portions were big. The food was also plated well and hot! We were able to sit in the outdoor area and enjoy the wonderful weather. The decor and vibe inside was nice and inviting. It's a nice spot for meeting friends, a date, or family.
I love to go to Margaronas Cantina when I am craving Mexican food! Their food is so fresh, hot, and delicious every time I am there. I often times will go with a group of friends and everyone enjoys it. The service is always excellent. If I go with just one other person or if I go with 6 other people, the service is always spot on, no matter the size difference of the group. It is located in Homewood off of Lakeshore, which is super close to my apartment, which I really enjoy having this convenient option for ethnic cuisine. I also love how they offer both indoor and outdoor seating, so you have the option to choose where you would like to sit.
We LOVE Margaronas. It's our go to quick Mexican. Service is always awesome and quick. I love everything from the chicken soup, quesadillas, to enchiladas and fajitas. I've never had a bad meal here. I also appreciate the large flavor selection of margaritas! I recommend the peach. The place is always clean and even in busy days, there's plenty of seats. The biggest perk is their avocados are always good so I have a happy toddler!
Ate here for a late bday get together with friends. The place has really food. My dish today had shrimp, fish and crab meat in it on top of rice and veggies. It was enough to take home enough for a complete meal at home. The service was ok. We had to flag our guy down a few times but after we made our requests made our requests were fulfilled. Both times I have been here there was no wait for a table. Plenty is seating is available. Ambiance is nice.
My husband and I were in town for a concert. We lived in SD for over 20+ years so we were craving Mexican food. Boy were we impressed with our meals. The portions were big. We both loved our dinners. My steak fajitas were so well seasoned and the presentation was fantastic. My husband's poblano meal was huge! Very nice presentation also. The service was great. We had attention from all servers. It was nice that the servers all worked together as a team making sure we were satisfied with everything. Birmingham is lucky because they have a fabulous and authentic Mexican restaurant. Really wished the would come to our new home in NC. We are really missing good Mexican food. We will definitely stop by this place again. They earned a 5 star from us today.
